The Weekly Planning Session

The backbone of this system is setting time aside for weekly planning. The planner is set up for Sunday to be the weekly planning session & can take as much time as is needed.

Weekly planning is a time to sit down and reflect on the past week, check in on your goals and tasks, then look forward to the next. The Balance Weekly Planning System is designed to work from left to right and from top to bottom. The busiest of lives can be balanced with weekly time set aside in reflection, gratitude, and thoughtful planning.

  • Preparation

Success is fundamentally linked with solid preparation, the two are almost always found together. Anyone striving to balance their life must believe in the importance of preparation.

“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.”

     ―Abraham Lincoln

  • Priorities

It is key to create a life based around what is most important. Priorities are manifested in actions.

“Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least.”

    ― Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

  • Consistency

Creating anything worthwhile is the result of doing something over and over again, day after day. This is truly no mystery.

“Success is neither magical nor mysterious. Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying basic fundamentals.”

    ― E. James Rohn

  • Accountability

Reflection is what allows one to make changes and press forward on an improved path. A life lived without any pause for review is a life lived beneath potential.

“When performance is measured, performance improves. When performance is measured and reported back, the rate of improvement accelerates.”

     ―Pearson’s Law
